I am thrilled to announce that my mother, father, and I have been invited to mount a group show this fall. Hailing from Denmark, both of my parents grew up deeply aware of the importance of design in our daily lives. When they immigrated to the United States, they parlayed this knowledge into a business in Scandinavian design, which they ran with great energy and success for many years. After selling the business, they each turned to new, more personal passions: my mother to glasswork and my father to turned wood.

I had just launched into my grown up life when this happened, on my way to design school. Their influence seeped into me early on as they taught me to look at the world with discernment and to know what I like and why. They inspired me to pursue my own design career. Later, again in their footsteps, I set that career aside to pursue my own passion in fiber art.

My parents’ work is beautiful, and it is a rare and wonderful opportunity for us to see our collective efforts assembled in one place. I invite you to stop by to have a look for yourself.
