Introducing a limited-edition series of works was made in collaboration with my mother, Esther K. Jensen, a glass artist. The pieces were created specially for Unbreakable, a group exhibition honoring mothers and daughters at Onna House.

Solo Exhibition
My first immersive installation of handmade textile and mixed media works reflects on the symbolic meaning and weight of words.
These works transform texts from diverse sources and eras into physical symbols, translating them first into code, then into color, and finally into form, embodying messages that remain at once hidden and visible.

Mothers
This small, felted wool and gilded clay work translates its own title into Morse code, then into color, and finally into form.
The penultimate piece of the ‘Encoded’ series, its creation became the psychological starting point of the ‘Found Objects’ series which I knew would be defined a celebration of mothers and daughters. Conceptually, it represents the crossover between the two themes.
Fittingly, its companion–and the final piece in the series– is entitled ‘Daughters.’
